DIY Workshop Toolkit

The DIY Workshop is a free do-it-yourself tool for activists and others who want to kick-start effective global-to-local action in their community. The workshop uses Local Futures’ award winning film, 'The Economics of Happiness', as a springboard to discuss the impacts of the global economic economy and localization as a strategy for real systemic change.

DIY Workshop - Local Futures

The toolkit is available in English and Italian, and includes: a detailed workshop guide, a DVD of The Economics of Happiness film, specially designed templates, and additional visual and written materials relating to the global to local debate. The film is available to watch below on YouTube and for downloading on Vimeo. Find more information and translations of the film here.

During the workshop participants are guided through a reflective process that culminates in the elaboration of a personal Global to Local action plan, centered around a two-pronged approach of Resistance and Renewal. Resistance to the corporate economy and Renewal on a local level, with people and planet in mind.

The workshop is free of charge. To obtain a copy, please contact us.
