As part of our commitment to supporting the growth of the localization movement, we encourage individuals and groups to organize community screenings of The Economics of Happiness. It is our hope that, through these events, the film can be a tool to initiate discussion and inspire local initiatives. Community screenings tend to be lively, informative and constructive events. Many screenings include panel discussions, potlucks, brainstorming planning sessions or talks by representatives from local organizations.
We’ve helped organize over 1,000 screenings of The Economics of Happiness and are happy to guide you through the process. Below please find a film discussion guide, event organizer kit, and downloadable web banners and film posters. We also offer a free DIY Economics of Happiness Workshop Toolkit.
If you’d like to attend a screening, have a look at our Events Calendar. There might be a screening coming up near you soon.
Screening Fee for Public Events
Local Futures no longer asks a fee for admission-free screenings. For events that charge admission, we request half of the net profit. Regardless of whether a screening is free or not, we request that you please notify us of all events. We list screenings on our Events Calendar and can also help promote through our social media.
Please notify us of all events by emailing [email protected]
