As a member of the International Alliance for Localization you will receive an email update which will keep you in touch with like-minded individuals and groups around the world and alert you to key policy issues and campaigns.
You will also have the opportunity to:
- Engage in internal communications with other members through the IAL Listserv, where you can ask others for advice, share relevant campaigns, actions, strategies and materials, and gain access to a wide range of resources and experiences.
- Join in IAL activities such as Local Futures’ Global to Local Webinar Series and workshops aimed at generating strategies for systemic change and local initiatives.
- Develop global-to-local projects with other IAL members. For example, identify partners for regional initiatives or joint events, such as co-hosting a screening of The Economics of Happiness film, or an Economics of Happiness Workshop or Conference – all of which have proven to be an excellent way to start debate about the global economy and inspire local place-based alternatives.
Most important of all, as an IAL member you actively contribute to the development of an international movement for localization.
