Conference
The localization movement has taken root in Japan and is rapidly growing. On November 8th -10th, 2019, we held the third in a series of Economics of Happiness gatherings in Japan, this time at the Meiji Gakuin University in Yokohama. It built on the huge Economics of Happiness World Forum held in Tokyo in 2017 and the conference that followed in 2018. These gatherings are becoming an annual tradition, serving as a focal point for the localization movement in Japan.
As always, Local Futures collaborated with a number of local organizations for this event. The Coordinator is our close colleague and IAL member, Professor Keibo Oiwa, who has the support of Meiji Gakuin University, where the event was held.
