The Entrepreneurship & Sustainability Conference will take place on October 1- 2 online. This year’s conference will address all the aspects of the ‘Business’ and Education’ where the aim is to transform environments in hopes of regenerating not only the ecosystem but the community as well.
Helena Norberg-Hodge, founder & director of Local Futures, will be one of the speakers on Friday, October 2 on the topic of:
‘Economics of Happiness‘
Inspired by decades of work in the ancient Buddhist culture of Ladakh, Helena Norberg-Hodge has been promoting an economic shift from global to local since the 1970s. In this talk, she will spell out how the seemingly endless series of crises we face – from climate change and pandemics, to poverty and epidemics of depression – are connected. They are either caused or exacerbated by our global economic system. Helena believes that strengthening local and regional economies worldwide is the systemic antidote. She will describe how rebuilding our connections to one another and to the natural world can restore ecological health, rebuild secure livelihoods, and nurture peace and deeper human contentment.
