For over thirty years, ISEC has been working around the world to raise awareness about the environmental and social problems associated with the increasing concentration of corporate power and economic globalization. In particular, lSEC has consistently advocated for local, sustainable food and farming systems and contributed groundbreaking analysis to what has today grown into a worldwide movement. From our work in Ladakh, India and other parts of the South, we have also articulated critiques of conventional economic development, and advanced award-winning, ecologically sane and culturally sensitive alternatives.
